Construction Paper Forest

By Hannah

Make a forest out of construction paper! The instructions to make fun paper forests like this one are as follows:

1. Get different shades of green construction paper and cut them into wavy tree patterns or sharp pine tree patterns. You can look at the example for ideas and if you are not sure what to do. If you want mushroom, cut red semicircles and paint, stick, or draw white dots on them.
2. Get brown construction paper (if you want mushrooms, get white paper as well).
3. Cut small rectangles from your brown (and white) paper. Roll the rectangles into cylinders (the cylinders should not have any closings on both circle sides.
4. Stand your cylinders up and cut halfway through them FROM THE TOP. Do this to all of your cylinders including the white ones.
5. Now it is time to assemble the trees and mushrooms. Get your tree leaf pieces and (optional) draw brown branches on them. Now stick them into the brown cylinders. For the mushrooms, stick the flat sides of the semicircles into the cylinders.
6. Get a green platform (it can be made of construction paper) and tape (or glue) the tree trunks, and the mushroom bottoms onto the platform.

Now you know how to make many more of these. Have fun and share your crafts with friends!
